Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his maiden trophy for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Now working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set triumph over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship following the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface after spring of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has won twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a trophy is really nice," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child her name, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six title deciders, featuring in Halle in the past months.
His counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had caused observers to wonder if his capacity to play at the highest level was over.
However the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to advance forward and perform aggressively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial professional victory, took control to create a decider.
He saved 4 initial chances in a tight deciding set before Medvedev broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
